Using Class Library to create .Net dll
Answered By Moderator1 on 3/24/2009 10:02:19 AM
A DLL is a library that contains code and data that can be used by more than one program at the same time.

The use of DLLs helps promote modularization of code, code reuse, efficient memory usage, and reduced disk space. Also when dll is used the programs will load faster and also run faster than normal codes.

You can create the dll in .Net by adding a Class Library Project in Visual Studio 2005/2008 project and add some class files in it, then build the project. Browse to the location of the Class Library, and you can view a bin folder created and it will contain the Class Library dll. You can add this dll with "Add Reference" to any Asp.Net projects and use it.
