 Local Host Problem

When i open http://localhost.
then displaying following error.

error '800401e4'
Invalid syntax

/localstart.asp, line 40

Note: No doubt i have installed IIS myself. My Operating System is Windows Xp Profressional.
Could You Please Help Me?

IIS website will load

Hi,

when you try to load the browser, as http://localhost, then the local IIS website will be loaded automatically. That means you IIS has been installed successfully and it can run ASP pages.

I think your problem is in placing the script files.. it should be placed under inetpub\wwwroot folder.
