Hi,

while designing the Master Page, you need to take care the page margins to 0, and place html table control with border as 0, cellspacing and cellpadding as 0, as well as the width of the table must be 100%. This will avoid unnecessary jerks in the page for different browser. then make sure the contentplaceholder is properly placed inside your desired cell.
