 What is use of dll class libraries in ADO.NET

I a using Visual studio 2008.
I dont know that why people use class libraries in projects..?
if i create a class library and add reference of it to the project ,
can i move that project without taking the source of that class library.....?
so that no 1 can see my code .....

There are many use of creating a class library.
1. It bisects your project into smaller piece and it helps for code management.
2. It helps you in code re-use. That means you can write code once, and as you said, by adding the reference to the required project, you can re-use all the classes in the library.

It is always recommended to create project with class library for data access layer and business logic layer.
